A colleague of INNOVA Észak-Alföld Nonprofit Ltd. was invited to the "3rd PPI to Innovate Days", organized in Székesfehérvár, Hungary on 14th of May 2019. The conference was organized by the Central Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency Nonprofit Ltd. At the conference, a lot of useful information was shared by experts and practical users of the PPI process from all over Europe.
The PPI2Innovate project is a great initiative to popularise innovative procurement processes. The project focuses on procurements in the field of smart health, smart energy and smart ICT. In the framework of the project, three thematic PPI2Innovate tools were developed in the above mentioned fields. PPI2Innovate directly targets public procurers on all administrative levels in central Europe with the aims of building regional capacities in PPI, changing the attitude towards PPI, strengthening linkages among relevant stakeholders in regional innovation systems and eventualyl boosting use of PPI.
In the project, four PPI pilots were implemented by the Somogy County Council (HU), the Piemonte Region (IT), the Lublin City Council (PL), and the Ministry of Public Administration (SI).
The pilot projects focused on three specific thematic areas:
- SMART HEALTH (Somogy County Council)
- SMART ICT (Ministry of Public Administration)
- SMART ENERGY (Lublin City Council, Piemonte Region)
