Expert's Background
With a Ph.D. in Pedagogy and Psychology with honours at the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, and a master’s degree from University of Torino, in Foreign Languages and Literatures with Management Curriculum, Isabella Calvagna has been working since 1982 for Torino
Municipality, Education Department.
Her research study with LMU University Munich, has been published in most universities and is currently used as a reference for research on the field of “Quality Education in Europe”. From year 2000 until 2005 she has been working in European Project with the role of mentor Leonardo Projects and has been working in the field of school and vocational training, and Lifelong Learning. She is presently involved in international projects, with other Departments such as Dept. of Culture and Smart City and Innovation Division, under which the LEA (Learning Technology Accelerator) a project targeted on innovative teaching, has been implemented.
She is the international focal point and contact for the UNESCO GLNC activities (Global Network of Learning Cities) and representative of the Municipality, attending international meetings abroad and hosting foreign delegations visiting Torino.
